Time for our periodical demand check for Lumia 920. This time the report is from Germany. At two major operators T-Mobile and Vodafone in Germany, Lumia 920 is still one of the top-selling smartpones. Though both the websites don’t give an option to sort out the list but Lumia 920 being still present in the best-selling list, third quarter in its releases is mighty impressive. At T-Mobile even Lumia 820 is present in top-selling smartphones.

Germany, France , Italy have really been strong markets for Lumias and it is very encouraging sign to see the demand persisting. This means that word of mouth is working for Lumia 920 and 820 now.

These “best selling” lists honestly don’t seem like lists of best sellers, but of the phones the carriers would like to sell – i.e. the ones with the highest profit margins. It’s hard to imagine Lumia 920 and Galaxy Note II selling more than many of the cheaper Androids, for instance.

    • Both Vodafone and T-Mobile clearly mention these as “best selling phones”. scroll to bottom on the vodafone page. Also in a a market where subsidies are so deep, why wouldn’t anyone go for higher end? In a market like India where it is all unlocked, your logic will be totally valid.
